Jason Calacanis joins Sequoia Capital
Jason Calacanis, the former General Manager of AOL’s Netscape division, announced he’s joining Sequoia Capital, a west coast venture investment firm. Calacanis’s Weblogs Inc. was purchased by AOL about a year ago. In an appearance at a trade show Tuesday morning, Calacanis said he had planned to leave AOL if he wasn’t President of the company by now. He was the keynoter for the Search Engine Strategies conference.
While I’m sure this comes as a suprise to some. To many it seems like the logical next step for Jason’s pursuit of becoming America’s Next Web 2.0 Billionaire.
We wish him all the best.

sorry. this machine translation doest make any sense at all. especially so in this comment section when the machine lliterally translates the label “mail” into Japanese equivalent “yuubin” which literally means snail mail i guess both in japanese and even in english. cost me a few iterations until i figured that out and finally entered my email address instead of zip code.
