Quite surprisingly.  All Gawker blogs seem to use the same template, and I&#039;d think Lifehacker would take the cake in comparison.  Honestly, I&#039;m surprised that Chris Pearson&#039;s blog didn&#039;t win that category.

I read all of these blogs, but I think that Gizmodo won for design because it is a more popular blog than its contenders, not because it&#039;s actually better designed.

On a separate note, the fluid layout on the Weblog winners announcement page is a real pain to read at 1920x1200 resolution.  I actually had to move my head to the left and then to the right to see who won for each category.  Poor design choice. :P</description>
