A closer look at Google Data Centers

V7N have published a short piece called Guide To Googles Data Centers, with pictures.

What is a Google Data Center?
A Google data center is a group of computers used to run Googles’ search engine. The data centers receive a query from the search interface, calculate the results, then deliver those results back to your browser.

OK, so this isn’t anything new, but if you’re curious about the service that probably sends you the majority of new readers then it’s an interesting read. Don’t expect any inside information on how to game Google though.
