Alternative Channel launches Citizen Journalist Contest

alternativechannel.jpgIf you have something worth saying using video and producing a short video of report or testimonial, then the Alternative Channel’s Citizen Journalist Contest may be your grandstand. With $100,000 in prizes spread over 5 categories, the contest is open to everyone who feels they have something worth saying using video.

A jury made up of professional journalists will choose the 3 winners in each category, and prizes will be awarded on December 2007 during the first International “Citizen Journalism Summit.”

Alternative Channel offers a complementary voice to this global movement, by web casting quality TV content over the Internet produced by citizen journalists. Unconventional and non-conformist, it is a true alternative to the stereotypes currently found in today’s traditional media.
