AOL Video Web site overhauled
AOL has overhauled its online video site it was announced today. The site is geared towards helping users select from over 20 million videos featured from across the Web.
AOL Video now has a redesigned front page to better highlight featured videos and features of the site in general. The video search engine is powered now by Truveo video search technology and geared towards a better presentation of results. There’s also an embedded playback viewer which supports video from other popular video sites and a new Windows Vista-ready sidebar gadget to let consumers to watch popular AOL Video content while using other applications.
”Online video consumption is likely the fastest growing behavior in the history of the Internet and AOL was one of the first to bring video content to the online masses,” said Fred McIntyre, Senior Vice President, AOL Video. “Consumers want just one place where they can go to find and watch all of the videos they’re looking for and our new AOL Video portal gives them just that: a single website that brings together millions of videos from across the Web.”
