EnjoyMyMedia touts private channels for shared media

enjoymymedia.jpgA startup by the name of EnjoyMyMedia is promoting a new personal broadcasting system which uses the Internet to share multimedia privately between computers. This service is up and running now and is free to use.

EnjoyMyMedia is rolling out an online system which lets its users save any file to a folder on a computer connected to the Internet. Saved files are shared automatically through private, secure channels with invited others who do not need to install any software to access the files. The password protected channels are accessed through My Yahoo, iGoogle, My AOL, Microsoft Vista’s Sidebar, Facebook, current Internet browsers or any other RSS-compliant system.

There’s also a social element with the EnjoyMyMedia system. Each media item has its own discussion thread, enabling focused communication between the user and all channel subscribers. Users can review a channel’s “Ratings” which tracks how many times a media item has been viewed or commented upon.
