Google Profile launches

Google Profile is a way to organize and collate all information about you in different Google-owned sites like Blogger, orkut, Google Maps, and many more. In their own words:
A Google Profile is simply how you represent yourself on Google products — it lets you tell others a bit more about who you are and what you’re all about. You control what goes into your Google Profile, sharing as much (or as little) as you’d like.
You have the option to display just your nickname or even your full name if you think it’s necessary. More importantly, this will avoid confusion and save you a lot of time in filling in the same info across different Web applications.
Other information under Google Profiles includes your location, occupation, a photo, list of your links, and a short description about yourself. You also have to the option to disclose your real name to your contacts only.
