The point is that, despite my using Excel and other standalone spreadsheets, I have never seen this functionality. If the average user doesn&#039;t have access, how useful is it? With free web-based spreadsheets, everyone will have access. And that is what could be the nail in the coffin for Excel or Lotus 123. Unless of course, they add that functionality for every one, not just VST for Office users.</description>

		<description>Microsoft Excel has been able to do this for years via Visual Studio Tools for Office. Granted it&#039;s not as simple to do as what you&#039;re talking about, but &quot;calling a web service from a spreadsheet&quot; is hardly a new idea.</description>
