Me.dium launches Me.Fest online festival

medium.pngMe.dium, a social browser company, announced its first annual Me.Fest online festival, a host of events from November 26th through December 2nd that allow users and celebrities to surf together in real time. Me.dium has invited industry leaders from music, sports, politics, lifestyle and Internet TV to join users in discussions and lead fan-focused tours around the Internet.

As part of the festivities, Me.dium is conducting a “What Is Me.dium?” video contest. Participants will submit homemade videos that creatively express how they use Me.dium and how it has changed their online experience. Users will vote for the finalists and winners will be selected by a Me.dium judging panel. The top five videos will win prizes ranging from a 13″ MacBook laptop computer to the new iPod Touch.

In addition, Matt Browner Hamlin, the official blogger for Presidential candidate Chris Dodd, will be leading a discussion on the upcoming election. Hamlin will manage a dialogue focusing on the important issues of the coming year, including domestic wiretapping and our personal freedom, all while sharing his favorite political sites, blogs and resources available online. Through this chat session, Me.dium provides candidates with the opportunity to share their views and opinions with voters in real
time, while having the entire Internet at their disposal to defend or refute their positions.

To participate in Me.Fest, simply install the Me.dium sidebar from
