Microsoft launches howtotell.com to help spot “trick” software
To help consumers avoid being tricked into using pirated software, Microsoft has set up a Web site How to Tell to help them avoid deals that seem “too good to be true” and learn how to spot the differences between genuine and non-genuine software.

These “How to Tell” tips are part of Microsoft’s Genuine Software Initiative, a three-pronged program that addresses software piracy by promoting education for consumers and partners, seeking engineering solutions to dissuade pirates, and taking enforcement actions to protect honest software vendors.
As part of this three-pronged initiative to help protect consumers and legitimate businesses, Microsoft has also announced the filing of 20 lawsuits against alleged dealers of counterfeit or infringing software in 13 states.

I just bought the Office Power Point 2007 program. ihavenot been able to load it to my computer because it won’t accept the product key. I bought this program at the Military Post Exchange. Can Someone help or I’ll take it back for reinbursement. Thanks.

Please guide me to install Window XP Service Pack 2 as I have been receiving the message as under ” Window XP service Pack 3 cannot installed. The product key used to install Microsoft window may not be valied. For more information about why you hve received this error message and steps you take to resolve this visit ‘www.howtotell.com’

My computer says my Microsoft Office is illegal. I purchased this program in 2003 Product Key: XHJCW-HBBVD-3HQDC-JF4C9-X2J7D It was installed from this disc. How can it be Illegal for me to use it?
