I hate to see mega-corporations of all stripes squeeze out the little guy. I'd rather patronize the mop-and-pop joint and feel like I'm contributing something to the success of my community when I do it. Not to mention Starbucks' history of exploiting a morally bankrupt business model. I'd much rather drop in to the funky little cafe around the corner for a cup, than drive to the soulless strip mall for a cup and plastic atmosphere. On the same general principles, I'd rather go thirsty than spend a cent on Starbucks' music. I refuse to patronize Starbucks on general principles.
