The upcoming TechCrunch20 conference focused on technology start-ups plans to present a nice cash prize to the most promising of the lot. $50,000 is the amount which will find its way into the bank account of the last start-up left standing Sept. 17-18 in San Francisco.
The winner of the cash prize will be selected by an advisory panel of industry experts which includes Marc Andreessen, Marissa Mayer, Brad Garlinghouse, Chris Anderson, Om Malik, Robert Scoble and others. Applications to appear at the TechCrunch20 conference to present business models are being taken through July 6.
“We are advocates of the entrepreneur, and TechCruch20 is a way we can help play a key role to expose outstanding early-stage business ideas and internet products to the marketplace,” said Michael Arrington, TechCrunch 20 co-founder and TechCrunch Editor. Jason Calacanis is the other co-founder.
