The Daily Reel convenes the web’s famous video artists for conference
The Daily Reel announced that they will be convening the creators of the Internet’s most infamous and most watched independent viral videos for a one day conference on the future of online video making during Digital Hollywood’s annual fall confab The Daily Reel @ Digital Hollywood.
“The Daily Reel @ Digital Hollywood” aims to its bring the virtual marketplace of online video creators, video and indie film websites and traditional and entertainment and media entities together offline, where they can meet, exchange ideas about how to make a video and interact with each other. Also expected to attend will be entertainment industry eaders from the film, television, music video, entertainment, media, advertising, marketing and technology industries.
The conference will feature “How-To” sessions for indie digital video creators seeking to improve their technical, marketing and creative video making skills. There will also be an all-day “open-mic” event where creators’ work will be screened in a multimedia environment.
Confirmed speakers at this time include: Judson Laipply, creator, Evolution of Dance (most-viewed video of all-time on Youtube); Ben Relles, creator, Obama Girl; Hayden Black, creator, Goodnight Burbank; Brent Weinstein, CEO, 60Frames; Natalie Vansant, director of business development & strategy, Stage 9/Disney; Brad Inman, CEO and Founder, TurnHere Inc.; Matt Dentler, director, SXSW; Jeremy Colter, Director of Digital Programming, Sony Pictures; Sankar Patel, Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners; Dina Kaplan, COO, Blip.TV; Doug Kamin, SVP Marketing, VideoJug; Sarah Szalavitz, Director of Content Development, Veoh; Tim Street, creator, FrenchMaidTV; and David Sarno, journalist, Los Angeles Times. The conference will take place October 31st during the Digital Hollywood Fall Conference (October 29-31st).
