Trouble at Digg?
You’d think they’d be setup to handle the traffic?

Or is it ironic that a site with a reputation of bringing down other sites is partially down itself?

I think I’ve seen that their search app is one of the slowest on the Web by a long shot. LAMP 4 life!11

This is old news. Digg has been having this same problem for at least 6 months. Kevin even went on the record saying that their search sucks and that they are working on fixing it.

The real trouble at Digg is the fact that they’re so slow right now that I can go check out what’s hot at Reddit and submit a couple of stories there while i wait for my Digg profile to show up. And this has been going on for weeks now.

now it says something to the effect that their site is down for maintenance.

You’re posting this as if it’s a brand new thing. I get that numerous times daily. :P
Sometimes the search results come up blank. Digg has definite issues handling the server/user load.
