ViewDate.com – world’s first online speed dating service
ViewDate.com is the the world’s first website to offer online speed dating services. It allows users to see and speak to each other in real time over the Internet, and a full-fledged profile, search and messaging system lets them keep in touch between events.
This new site is currently invitation-only. It is also equipped with a special filtering technology prevents the “meat market” effect where some women are inundated with countless unwanted messages, and an advanced network architecture ensures that the video stream is smooth and uninterrupted.
Connie Jinq, ViewDate’s founder, started ViewDate after hearing feedback from frustrated friends who had tried traditional speed dates and online dating. Both seemed promising, but fundamentally flawed. She realized that these flaws could make meaningful relationships difficult to foster.
“ViewDate is the world’s first website to offer online speed dating services. More importantly, the team at ViewDate has innovated
and worked hard to ensure that we’re not only the first, but far and away the best,” said Jing.

Could you find me a date??

ViewDate.com wasn’t the first online speed dating service. There were two other services that opened before them, including in480 (opened more than six months prior to ViewDate). Since ViewDate’s announcement, several more have opened and become popular. Now the two big online speed dating services are WooMe.com and SpeedDate.com. And you have new ones opening almost weekly (CamLink, RandoMate, etc.).
ViewDate has missed its window of opportunity to become an early adopter in this field. It is now more than six months (as of this posting) since their announcement and they still are not open to the public. Meanwhile, other services that opened even after them are really taking off.
In this industry you need to act quick and efficiently on a new idea (or at least hold the patents to them) in order to succeed. :-)
Sincerely,

I prefer speed dating events where people meet in person. I like the concept of web cam speed dating, but speed dating isn’t just about meeting a bunch of people, it’s also about going out and having a good time and having some real live social interaction.

I like the idea of speed dating and it would definitely work for me in the real world. Online, I’m not sure I would be comfortable because I have trust issues and I know I am probably not ready to date like that yet. I’d have to move slowly with that type of approach…
