Web 2.0 network for dogs and cats

united dogs and cats Web 2.0 network for dogs and cats“We believe there is waayyy too many social networking sites out there on the Internet,” they said in their blog. A group of web 2.0 enthusiasts who think that pets are awesome, United Dogs and Cats developed a social network for pets, namely the Uniteddogs and the Unitedcats.

With Uniteddogs and Unitedcats, dog and cat owners can post photos of their pets, type in some profile data, add friends to their network, and set up blogs for their pets! Currently, United Dogs and Cats has over 1800 dogs and cats join their network since the launch of their alpha versions.

“The future of pet social networking seems bright. It’s a niché social networking industry with more competitors coming in, so the situation is changing every day,” said Martin Tajur, head designer, and Ragnar Sass, CEO, said.

Entirely self-funded, United Dogs and Cats Ltd is based in Estonia, and currently has 5 employees. With the growing success of these social networks for cats and dogs, I won’t be surprised if we’ll hear something like a United Hamsters or United Rabbits network one of these days.
