3BILL acquires Profile Heaven
3BILL has acquired Profile Heaven, a UK social networking platform aimed at 15-24-year-olds. The company has not disclosed terms of the purchase for the winner of 2006 UK Website of the Year – Best Community Site.
3BILL believes that the acquisition of Profile Heaven will benefit users of the site, allowing them to stay connected to their friends through a range of new free applications and services that are planned as part of a re-development of the site. These services will make it easier to keep in touch, where in some instances, members might want to surf the web using a mobile when they do not have access to a personal computer on the move.
The site will be extensively improved over the coming months with a re-launch planned for early this summer. This will include a wide range of previously unseen web and mobile applications specifically tailored to deliver an extremely rich web and mobile experience to the site’s well-established and fast growing community.
3BILL will also re-brand the site, the current community playing a key role as a creative resource for new ideas and features soon to be announced.
