AOL lures PC gaming audience with new site

AOL has launched BigDownload.com, a content and service-centered site for the PC gaming audience providing free downloads, game reviews and industry news. BigDownload.com is the first joint project between AOL Games and Weblogs, Inc.

BigDownload.com offers free downloads of games, demos and HD game trailers while Weblogs, Inc. provides comprehensive coverage of the PC gaming market, powered by Weblogs’ flagship gaming brand Joystiq.com. In addition, the File Tracker feature lets users easily keep tabs on their downloaded games, while the news component keeps them informed about what’s coming and what they might want to download next. The editorial component provides users complete industry news and analysis as well as a large offering of original features including in-depth reviews, interviews, live event coverage and more.
