Best Buy acquires Napster for $126.8 million in cash
Best Buy is acquiring Napster Inc. for $126.8 million in cash in a move that hopes to boost its digital media capabilities.
The deal includes Napster’s 700,000 subscribers, its web-based platform, and mobile capabilities. Chief Executive Chris Gorog is expected to remain in his current role.
