BlitzCast offers live broadcasting for console gamers
BlitzCast Networks is now offering BlitzCast.tv, a new web-based live video broadcasting platform, and social-broadcasting network dedicated exclusively to console gamers. BlitzCast gives individual gamers the ability to broadcast live gaming competitions from their gaming consoles, and automatically store it to the “Online Film Room”, using BlitzCast’s Spectator software and the optional BlitzBox video capture unit. And the show doesn’t stop there.
BlitzCast is also one of the first live streaming sites to utilize Microsoft’s new Silverlight media platform. “We’ve already invested in multiple media streaming platforms, including Flash Media. But, the flexibility and easy integration of the Silverlight platform was hard to ignore during development,” states developer, Mecole Sanjave.
