Canal Internet reaches 1 million viewers since launch
Canal Internet, Inc., the online video entertainment company for Hispanics, has reached over 1 million unique viewers since its official beta launch less than two months ago. The site offers free on demand video content, ranging from major Latin American television shows, like Fear Factor, to independent and exclusive online videos.
The company has a major partnership with Endemol Latin America and is now in the process of closing other agreements with media companies to distribute their content. Currently the site has over 25 shows in a broad range of categories ranging from comedy, reality, and drama, to animation and sports. Last week it premiered its new original series called “Casting Abierto†(Open Casting), which features aspiring actors that are humorously improvising scenes from movies under the premise that they are auditioning for a given role.
