deviantART gets 50 million deviations, launches Collections
deviantART announced the receipt of its 50 millionth artist generated submission, known within the deviantART community as ‘deviations’. The site, with over 7 million registered users, also announced that it received more than 23 million unique visitors in January 2008 and the launch of Collections.
Collections is a tool that enables deviantART users to “Start an Art Collection†by collecting their favorite deviations and exhibiting them to the community in a customizable environment. This tool is designed to enhance a member’s ability to save and share works by the favorite artists by category, by artist, by genre or by any other topic.
