DivX and Vuze partner to enable video content on DivX Connected Platform
DivX, Inc. and Vuze announced an agreement to create a service that will distribute premium content via DivX Connected, a solution that provides consumers with easily accessible high-quality digital media content and services through a variety of consumer electronics devices.
The online Vuze service offers a rich depth of video content, including a large amount of HD content. Leading international content brands, including A&E, the BBC, National Geographic, PBS, and Showtime, as well as hundreds of premier production studios and thousands of maverick content creators distribute shows through the Vuze platform. Selections from the Vuze library will become available to DivX Connected users, extending the Vuze experience beyond the PC and into the living room. The first DivX Connected device available to consumers from D-Link is presently for sale online in the UK, France, and Germany and will be released in the US later this year.
