One has to wonder how these folks survived before e-mail! I’ve been doing tech since before the start of the Web and have never gotten wrapped up in having to check e-mail (I don’t even own a “crackberry”!) in inappropriate venues or at times when it is clearly disrespectful of those around you.

I wonder if the more narcissistic we become, the more we risk loosing some of our humanity….

The bottom line is that one really should use their discretion and common sense as to when and where to check their e-mail (In Church!?). It’s all about “using technology with knowledge understanding and courtesy.”
