Dogpile.com users raise $100,000 for pets in need
Dogpile.com has raised the first $100,000 toward its goal in raising at least $1 million to help pets in need. The Dogpile.com donations are being funded through its Search & Rescue Program, a creative online philanthropy program designed to aid pets in tough economic times by donating a portion of the revenue generated by the search engine to animal-related charities.
In addition to searching on Dogpile.com, a search engine that piles results from all major search engines into one (Google, Yahoo!, MSN Live, Ask.com), consumers can search using the Search & Rescue toolbar or invite a friend to help out through the Dogpile Search and Rescue Facebook application.
Dogpile.com’s Search and Rescue program has a goal of raising at least $1 million for pets in need through the end of 2009.
