Google’s Sergey Brin wants to go to space
Space Adventures Ltd. announced a program called Space Adventures’ Orbital Mision that would allow individuals to reserve seats on future orbital spaceflights. Individuals may fly to orbit or opt to sell their seat to another private astronaut. Sergey Brin of Google fame is a founding member by placing a $5 million deposit on a future orbital spaceflight.
Like-minded individuals who wish to apply to join Sergey Brin in the Orbital Mission will be required to make a $5 million deposit as well, which will be credited toward their eventual space mission.
