Max Fresh toothpaste to find new singing talent on MySpace TV

Artists hoping to become a household name no longer have to wait on long audition lines or move to Hollywood in search of an agent to get their shot at stardom. Unsigned talent can take their voices to the web by competing in a new online talent search hosted by Colgate-Palmolive, the makers of Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste, and MySpace TV.

From now through April 14, artists nationwide can showcase their vocal talent online in the ‘Max Fresh Video Music Competition’ by uploading video auditions at MySpace.com/colgatemaxfresh. Eligible contestants must submit a track from the contest’s list of 15 contemporary songs in order to qualify. Entries will be open for public voting beginning April 15, and finalists will be selected based on the top five entries garnering the most votes. To declare this year’s winner, finalists will be judged by a celebrity panel featuring Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer, Bryan-Michael Cox, Tito el Bambino, popular Latin singer/songwriter, and Danyel Smith, Editor-In-Chief of Vibe magazine.

The winner of this year’s Max Fres® Video Music Competition will participate in a professional recording session and video production, featuring an original song written and produced by Bryan-Michael Cox, and the opportunity to perform their original song at the All-Access Lounge – the pre-party to Z100 FM’s Jingle Ball, one of New York City’s most popular concert events.
