Running With Bulls Is Dangerous: Duh!
Ever notice that entire Websites can be built around what could be said in three words.
For example, the new Running of the Bulls dot com. I can sum it up in four words: ‘Don’t do it, idiot.’
Running from July 6 – 14, 2008 in Pamplona, Spain, organizers are anticipating approximately 1 million revelers.
Tour company Spyns which books trips in the area says that demand to attend the event, despite numerous warnings, continues to grow on a year-by-year basis.
Running for a half-mile, 15 bulls will navigate through Old Pamplona’s narrow, cobblestoned streets. The run is held seven times a year during a one-week stretch.
The dangers of this once-in-a-lifetime thrill are outlined on the new Website, along with videos that might discourage (or encourage!) you to attend.
So let me get this straight: the people behind the Website want to warn you about the dangers of the bull run, yet book a package to let you check it out.
Weird.
If you decide to run, good luck. I’ll be sitting in the gradas with my puntilla.
