Shine A Light makes its debut via imeem
Shine A Light, the soundtrack to Martin Scorsese’s new documentary about The Rolling Stones, is making its US debut today on imeem, a week before it’s available in stores on April 1.
Shine a Light, which opens in theaters nationally on April 4, is a look at The Rolling Stones’s live performances through the eyes of Martin Scorsese. The Oscar-winning director captured the band during two intimate performances at New York’s Beacon Theatre in the fall of 2006. During the performances, the Stones were joined onstage by several special guests, including Buddy Guy, the White Stripes’ Jack White and Christina Aguilera.
This is the latest example of mainstream bands choosing social media outlets like imeem as the places to reach their fans with new music.
