Social networks can kick out monks behaving badly

buddhist monks Social networks can kick out monks behaving badlyThere’s a new rule that might soon appear in leading social networking sites: NO BUDDHIST MONKS ALLOWED or perhaps a security claim that the site is MONK-FREE.

For hundreds of years, they have been a symbol of respect and purity. Tragically, there is a shocking controversy at the holy land of Thailand accusing a monk of using social site Hi5.com to seduce and rape a teenage girl.

Now, government officials are empowering these sites to kick out any Buddhist monk displaying unethical or sexual behavior. Not only that, online users are also discouraged to interact with any monk on the site

Bangkok Post reports that officials are also planning to shut down Hi5 but unable to do so because there is an existing rule that there must a court judgment first before a site is banned.

Here’s an idea. Maybe someone out there is interested to create a social network exclusively for monks which will not allow any woman online. Anyone out there?
