In a new rather contradictive statement made by Apple it seems that the 1, Infinite Loop based company continues to lie to its user base. Or behave hypocritically at least.

Problem this time is the requirement of companies in the UK who want to reclaim the Value Added Tax (VAT) on applications purchased via the Appstore. But the Californian company states that applications purchased for the iPhone via its built-in Appstore are only for personal, non-commercial use, thus evading the need to supply VAT-receipts. What is not mentioned by Apple is that they have done everything to make the iPhone more compatible for business users and companies. Althought the UK ToS for Apps downloaded from the Appstore says:

Your license of Products as authorized hereunder permits you to use the Products only for personal, non-commercial use

The US hardware manufacturer itself provides a page titled iPhone in Enterprise: The best phone for business ever.

The iPhone features Exchange Active Sync support, supports Cisco IPSec VPN and offers many more enterprise level deployment options. I can not see why a person needs Exchange or Cisco VPN support for personal usage.
