UKHolsMap.com charts British holidays via Twitter

ukholsmap

UK mobile operator Vodafone has set up a new web site designed to chart where Brits are going on holiday, via the Twitter hashtag #ukhols.

In the last month or so UKHolsMap.com has been active, the top recorded destinations have been New York, Vancouver, Paris, London, St Ives, Barcelona, Seoul, Cyprus, Crete and Istanbul.

Twitter users simply have to tweet the hashtag followed by their age, gender, and the first half of their postcode (the UK’s slightly quirky version of the zip code). It’s then recorded on a Google Map.

It’s an interesting little app though I’m sure there are plenty of people charting places they’ve never visited just because they can.
