AdWeek reports that Metacafe has hired former Yahoo! and Disney executive Scott Bushman as VP for Business Development.

Bushman is responsible for cultivating relationships with global media companies, overseeing content licensing deals and determining other viable growth opportunities for the company within the short-form video arena.

ClipBlast!, a video search platform, announced a partnership with Metacafe, one of the world’s largest video sites, attracting more than 25 million unique viewers monthly, per June data from comScore Media Metrix. Under the agreement, ClipBlast! will automatically index new video posted to Metacafe.

“As video continues to proliferate on the web, it becomes increasingly important that we organize content in a way that makes it quick and easy for people to find something they’re likely to enjoy,” said Erick Hachenburg, CEO of Metacafe. “We’ve designed our site to meet that imperative, and ClipBlast!’s automatic indexing capability is another great way for people to find interesting and entertaining videos on Metacafe.”
