Polladium.com launches online polling site with Twitter-like interface

May 20, 2009 By Dennis Bouchand

Social polling network Polladium.com has launched as an online repository for polls on hot topics on the web. The first social polling web site to offer a Twitter-like interface, Polladium.com redefines the social polling landscape by encouraging self expression and offering a new way of interpreting current events through polling.

Members can easily create a free account and a customizable VoxBox profile page. Vox, the Latin word meaning voice, speaks to the site’s purpose of promoting self expression based on polling habits. As members vote on polls they can add comments in less than 160 characters. Each member’s opinions are displayed on their VoxBox page along with the original polling question.

To make the site easy to navigate and search, polls are organized by locale such as the United States and categories like business, entertainment, health, international, politics, science/technology and sports. Polls with the highest votes are listed first within each locale and category. If a poll becomes popular, it will show up on the polladium.com homepage daily under “hot on the web.”
