The mobile platform is now fully realize because of the vast improvements in the power of mobile devices and reliability of mobile communication technologies. We can now truly say that we have been untethered from the traditional wired technologies and are now mobile in the truest sense of the word.
With mobile communication now at its maturity stage we can now expect to do many things that, at some point in the past, we could only do with wired solutions – like streaming content or doing mobile transactions. But with the new technologies mentioned we can now do these things and more even when we are in the middle of a place with no foreseeable cables in sight.
Mobile transactions are particularly impressive because making purchases while on the go is now truly possible. E-commerce has truly gone a long way compared to a few years back. This is a good thing because, e-commerce is driving a new market and economy that is still largely untapped and rife with many possibilities.
For example, a site like Gumroad is proving that you can sell anything online because there are many things that are of value to other people. The site offers a platform for people to sell digital goods – articles, music, videos, or photos, just to mention a few. The site is becoming very popular and is turning many people into e-entrepreneurs. On the other hand, there are sites like Shippin! that takes advantage of the Gumroad platform to extend its use and capabilities. Shippin! is a site that provides a shipping information form that can be tacked on to Gumroad, allowing the user to get shipping information if they plan to sell non-digital items (that is, actual products) to buyers. The site can also be used for gathering contact information either to build a customer database or as a way of contacting the seller’s buyers/customers.

mobile says
I would not be very excited about mobile e-commerce, at least for now. Practically, it’s still hard to buy from mobile phone
