Piria launches Rombla to bridge gap between web designers and clients

September 22, 2023 By Cristina Ledesma Leave a Comment

Piria, Inc. announced the launch of Rombla, the online “no programming” site builder that enables designers to create fully editable websites using simple visual editing tools and then share them with their clients to edit and maintain. By making it easy for clients to keep their sites up to date, designers can focus on higher-margin design work rather than ongoing maintenance, marking a new chapter in web design.

Designers can also share their designs with the Rombla community to showcase their talents and attract new clients. Business owners select a design and customize it themselves or collaborate with a designer using Rombla to make major changes and additions.

Through the innovative use of the Adobe Flex3 Framework, Rombla gives designers control over every element of every page, including style, layout, and content, without forcing them to write a line of code. And Rombla provides true WYSIWYG editing that’s powerful enough to meet the needs of designers and yet easy enough for their clients to use.

Rombla offers a rich design environment by tightly integrating with online design tools such as Adobe Kuler color palettes, content sources such as Flickr, YouTube, and Google Maps, and utilities such as PayPal for shopping and payment. For example, within Rombla a designer can find content online and drag and drop it onto any page. In addition, Rombla includes a robust content management system that makes it easy to create forms and view data.

WeightView.com hits major milestone with 100,000 uploaded photos

September 22, 2023 By Cristina Ledesma 1 Comment

WeightView.com has surpassed a milestone of 100,000 users who have uploaded their photos to get a glimpse into their thinner future.

The key feature of WeightView.com is its digital photo enhancement process, which enables all users to see what they might look like at 10, 20 or 50 pounds lighter. Users simply upload a current photo, then the WeightView technology and team does the rest to produce a visual of a slimmer version of the user. There are many weight loss programs and tools available, but none have the ability to inspire and motivate by showing a possible end result. Most diets, weight loss programs, nutrition plans, exercise regiments and gyms, show before and after pictures of others who have used them. WeightView believes that there is no stronger motivational tool than showing people a personalized image.

With your WeightView image, you can print out results, save it on your screen, pin it in your locker at the gym, post it on the fridge, keep it in your wallet, etc. WeightView provides a tangible, visual tool to strengthen your motivation and resolve. WeightView also invites users to share their results with other users or to “Show off” their results on line.

Hiogi launches community-based Q&A solution for Skype

September 22, 2023 By Cristina Ledesma Leave a Comment

Chat is the favorite way of communication for millions of teenagers and even smartphones support instant messaging today. “Hiogi for Skype” is the world’s first question and answer service that enables users to ask for advice by simply typing a question into their Skype chat window. Each question receives an accurate answer from the online community.

“Hiogi for Skype mobile is the easiest way to receive quick answers while traveling,” says Bjoern Behrendt, CEO of hiogi. “It’s like chatting with a good friend, who is always willing to help and who knows everything.”

This is how it works:

Add the Skype name on the site and approve hiogi to be added in your contact list. Afterwards any question can be send to hiogi directly on Skype by writing the keyword ASK in front of the question. The answer plus references or comments show up in the Skype chat window minutes later. A list of all functions can be requested by typing in the keyword HELP into the Skype chat window.
