Rumor: Nexus 4 to Be Released October 29

January 13, 2023 By 901am

I recently bought a Google Galaxy Nexus and to say that I am impressed is an understatement. It is a cool phone that epitomizes most of the good things that has made the Android operating system the most popular mobile OS in the world.

I am not alone in my assessment of Google’s Nexus program. Their line of smartphones and tablets are getting rave reviews and is considered the benchmark for what a pure Android experience should be.

With 2012 coming to a close, rumors are beginning to heat up about the new phone that will have the Nexus imprint. Google has chosen LG to produce this year’s new Nexus phone, the LG Nexus 4 (the rumored name of the new phone). Now new rumors have circulated about its actual release date.

According to French newspaper Le Figaro, the LG Nexus 4 is going to be released on October 29, and it’s going to be a worldwide release. Le Figaro did not name any sources for their information.

According to previous leaked information, the LG Nexus 4 is going to have specifications similar to the Optimus G – a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 4.7 inch, 1280 x  768 pixel display. The Nexus 4 will have an 8 megapixel camera, which deviates from the Optimus G’s 13 megapixel camera. The phone will run Android Jelly Bean.

But with LG still not providing a release date for the still under-wraps Optimus G, this rumor may likely be just that – a rumor.
