LogicBuy.com uses its community and a team of editors to rate submitted deals offered by popular online merchants. Editors look for the latest deals to post on the Web site while community members also shares potential great deals they have found in their Web explorations.

Deals, once posted, are voted upon in a “Hot” or “Not” style format. Those deals which get more positive feedback appear higher in the listings, while deals considered to be “Not” get buried because they are not considered as compelling.

Realtor.com goes mobile on Windows devices

mobile-realtor.jpgRealtors and consumers looking to make the most out of using their wireless mobile devices for hunting down potential homes have some new technology at their disposal starting today. Realtor.com has introduced Realtor.com Mobile for on the go house seekers.

Realtor.com Mobile comes in the form of a free, downloadable application you install on a Windows Mobile enabled cell phone or PDA. With this application a home searcher can enter search criteria including city, state or zip codes, price range, as well as number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Results which are found offer contact information for the listing agent as well as the ability to map to each home for sale in the area.

Favorite homes can be listed in a bookmarking style feature and Realtor.com Mobile also supports GPS-enabled devices for a homes near by feature. Homes can be found within a 10-mile range using this particular application.

MyOutdoorTV launches as online outdoor TV site

myoutdoortv.jpgFans of outdoor television shows now have a new place to turn online for their hunting and fishing programming fix. MyOutdoorTV.com announced its official launch today with a current streaming stable of over 70 titles.

MyOutdoorTV.com offers more than 1,400 half-hour regional and national shows. Hosts include outdoor celebrities such as Hank Parker, Mark Sosin, Jimmy Houston, Larry Csonka, Roland Martin, Babe Winkelman, and many others. The outdoor television Web site also includes over a dozen radio shows and links to dozens of outdoor blogs.

Other specific features of MyOutdoorTV.com include a search feature for finding videos by name or keyword, state level information which organizes videos from each region as well as links to state level wildlife agencies and an outdoor wiki of viewer-created tips and information.

Star Wars extreme fans sought for video contest

fanboys.jpgDailyMotion, a video sharing Web site, and The Weinstein Company are running a new fanboy video contest announced today to find the ultimate Star Wars fan. The winner of this online contest will win a walk in role in the upcoming comedy Fanboys, as well as having his or her video promoted on the Fanboy Web site and included as a special feature when the feature film comes to DVD.

Contestants will need to submit their videos through the official contest Web site. The competition, which runs from July 25, 2007 to August 31, 2007, will find Dailymotion users voting for their favorites throughout the competition. The producers will choose the winner from the 10 finalists that received the most votes by the users.

Fanboys is described as a comedy which “follows a group of young friends on a cross-country quest to break into Skywalker Ranch and see Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace before it is released. The film stars Sam Huntington (Superman Returns), Chris Marquette (Joan of Arcadia), Dan Fogler (the upcoming Kung Fu Panda), Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) and Seth Rogan (Knocked Up).”

Maine enhances state Web site

maine.jpgThe state of Maine today unveiled an enhanced official state Web site with new features to improve access to government information. Maine.gov now includes a mapping function and contact directory. among other features.

Maine.gov now includes interactive maps of government offices and locations, including polling places, Health and Human Services offices, Motor Vehicle offices, career centers, courthouses, public libraries, state parks and town offices. The new contact directory hosts state agency contact information including agency Web site links, phone and TTY numbers, addresses and descriptions of agency duties.

“Maine.gov continues to excel in providing online access to government information in a way that is easy to use, saving time for Maine citizens and businesses,” Maine Governor John Baldacci commented. “The new enhancements to Maine.gov have greatly improved the state’s Web site, resulting in a significant value to the citizens of Maine.”
