Rock The Vote, AT&T, FunMobility to mobilize youth vote, I doubt

December 19, 2022 By Dennis Bouchand

Rock The Vote, AT&T and FunMobility announced the launch of downloadable mobile content to help encourage young people to leverage their voting power in the political process. Rock The Vote’s mobile campaign in partnership with AT&T, brings together popular music, artists and mobile technologies to engage today’s youth with the political process.

FunMobility has created a robust catalog of made-for-mobile downloadable wallpaper, branded with the Rock The Vote logo, for mobile users to demonstrate their support in the upcoming election.
Exclusive Rock The Vote mobile election campaign content can be downloaded from the FunMobility’s FunScreenz application, on your AT&T phone within AT&T MEdia Mall or at rockthevote.funmo.com.

FunMobility’s direct-to-consumer website, FunMo.com, will power the Rock The Vote mobile storefront.  FunMo.com enables users to create graphics and animations to personalize their phones, connect with others within the mobile community, share mobile photos, and browse thousands of original wallpapers and ringtones.

I don’t know. I highly doubt if a mobile campaign on political awareness would be effective especially to the youth. Rock The Vote, AT&T and FunMobility should be more creative than this. Also, this campaign would cost you money on some mobile rates and make whoever some cash.

Former presidential candidate Ross Perot launches website on U.S. economic crisis

December 16, 2022 By Cristina Ledesma

Businessman and former presidential candidate Ross Perot has launched PerotCharts.com, a public information website that contains objective, information about the current economic crisis in America.

Perot said that the site is being launched as an alert and appeal for American citizens to inform themselves about federal government spending.

PerotCharts.com consists of three major components: a video featuring Ross Perot discussing the purpose of the website, a blog where new charts and other information are posted daily for study and comment, and a narrated chart presentation explaining the economic problems the country faces.

The website stressed that it is not affiliated with any political party or candidate. If not, then what is the motive then? We can only wonder.

Blogged.com endorses Obama blogs

December 16, 2022 By Dennis Bouchand

Blogged.com is dipping into politics, announcing today a list of the top 10 blogs for the Democratic presidential candidates. After evaluating the list, coupled with “thorough analysis,” Blogged.com concluded that the top Obama blogs were found to be of higher quality than the top Clinton blogs. The basis: content quality, frequency of updates, site design, and writing style. There is no margin of error here because this is not a survey, but there is definitely personal biases (like me having a bias on Obama).
